This page showcases my ongoing participation in the MT MADE FAIR and my meaningful collaboration with HandMADE Montana over the years.
MT MADE FAIR PARTICIPATION
As an illustrator, I’ve proudly participated in the Mt Made Fair since 2023. This incredible market is organized by HandMADE Montana, a collective dedicated to supporting local artisans and fostering a vibrant creative community across the state. HandMADE Montana’s mission is to elevate handmade goods by connecting makers with their audience, offering resources for small businesses, and cultivating an appreciation for craftsmanship throughout Montana.
The Mt Made Fair is one of my favorite events to take part in. It provides an amazing platform to showcase my original artwork prints to the thousands of attendees who visit the market. Beyond the opportunity to share my work, I’ve cherished the connections I’ve made with the talented creatives from all over Montana. Every fair is a learning experience that helps me grow as an artist and refine my brand.
Most of the Mt Made Fairs I’ve participated in have been held in Bozeman, MT, at Montana State University. However, in 2024, I had the exciting opportunity to showcase my work at the Mt Made Fair in downtown Missoula, MT. The change of scenery brought fresh experiences and introduced me to even more wonderful individuals within the HandMADE Montana community.
An Overwhelming Sense of Community
In 2024 in Missoula, after a successful day of interacting with the locals and celebrating the arts, a huge gust of wind unexpectedly swept through and uplifted my booth. It destroyed a quarter of my products and completely wrecked my setup, along with many others. What initially felt devastating was almost instantly replaced by an overwhelming sense of community as everyone rushed to help one another. People collected blown-away products, checked in to make sure everyone was alright, and offered support in every way possible. It was incredible to witness everyone come together during a moment of dysfunction.
I deeply value the work of HandMADE Montana and their dedication to organizing such meaningful events. It has been an honor to work alongside this incredible organization, and I eagerly look forward to future collaborations with them.
