CLEAN SLATE GROUP

Learn about the amazing opportunity I had to partner with The Clean Slate Group to feature my illustrations on an electrical box in my hometown.

Collaborating With The Clean Slate Group

In 2020, I had the incredible opportunity to partner with The Clean Slate Group, an organization dedicated to transforming public spaces through art. Based in Bozeman, MT, The Clean Slate Group works with communities to beautify urban environments and foster a connection between artists and the public. Their mission is to make art accessible, vibrant, and enduring by creating installations that enhance and preserve shared spaces.

Through this partnership, I was able to showcase my illustrations in a unique and impactful way. The Clean Slate Group located an electrical box in Bozeman as the canvas for this project. After months of collaboration with the city of Bozeman, we brought this vision to life. Five of my illustrations were enlarged and printed on graffiti-resistant vinyl by another local Bozeman business, The Wrap Agency. The vinyl wraps were then expertly applied to the electrical box. Seeing my work displayed in this way was an unforgettable moment, especially after nearly a year of discussions and planning.

The response from the Bozeman community has been overwhelmingly positive. Citizens have recognized me because of this installation and have shared their appreciation for the artwork. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how public art can spark conversations and bring joy to everyday spaces.

Working with The Clean Slate Group was a fantastic experience. Their dedication to artists and their mission made the entire process seamless and inspiring. I’d love the opportunity to collaborate with them again on another public art installation in the future.
