THE COMMISSION PROCESS: STEP BY STEP

  1. Share Your Vision
It all starts with your idea—whether it’s your dog juggling chainsaws, your cat smoking from a bong, or a classic stoic portrait, I’m here to bring your illustration to fruition. Send me a description of what you're envisioning with reference photos of your pet(s).

  2. Concept & Details
We’ll briefly discuss your concept to ensure we’re on the same page (literally!). I’ll share my sizing and pricing options, and once we've landed on a what works best, I’ll collect payment to secure your commission spot.

  3. Sketch & Feedback
With payment and reference images in hand, I’ll start working on a a preliminary sketch of the composition. You’ll have the chance to review it, provide feedback, and make sure it’s heading in the right direction before we move forward.

  4. Adding the Details
This is where the magic happens. I’ll refine the drawing, adding intricate details like hatching, cross-hatching, and shading to create depth and texture. If color is part of the design, I’ll incorporate it thoughtfully. Throughout, I aim to showcase your pet’s personality and bring your vision to life.

  5. Final Review
Once the piece is nearing completion, I’ll send it to you for a final review. You can request adjustments, or if everything looks great, we’ll move on to the final step.

  6. Shipping and Handling
If revisions are needed, I’ll make them promptly. Then, I’ll collect your mailing address and ship the original piece to you. Your custom pet portrait is now ready to be cherished and/or shared!

This process is collaborative, straightforward, and tailored to make sure you walk away with a piece of art that’s truly one of a kind.
