At the beginning of 2024, I had the immense pleasure of being commissioned to create a 24" x 36" illustration featuring six marvelous pugs. This piece stands out from all my previous pet portraits—not just because of its size and the number of subjects, but because these pugs had some of the biggest and most fantastic personalities I’ve ever had the honor of capturing.

 

What made this project even more special was that, unlike most of my commissions, I actually got to meet the pets in person! We spent time together at a park, where I photographed them alongside the completed piece drawn in their honor. It was an unforgettable experience—seeing their unique quirks and energy up close allowed me to truly bring their essence to life on paper.

 

This project was a joy from start to finish and a fantastic reminder of how lucky I am to do what I do. I can't wait for the next opportunity to create something just as meaningful!
